Hello everybody, great to see you on my page! My name is Laurin, and I recently graduated from TUM and LMU in the study program Quantum Science and Technology. Next to the academic path, I love to build and develop technology ventures; you will find two of them on this page! I am, in general, very interested in entrepreneurship. I like to take on new challenges and try out different opportunities. Before starting something new, I ask myself the question: What can I learn from that?
My Work at Walter Schottky Institut
The Walter Schottky Institut is an institute for semiconductor research at TUM. I started to work here in 2020, having an engineering task working on cryostats. This quickly transitioned into research on 2D materials. About 2D materials, I then wrote my bachelor’s thesis before transitioning to quantum dot molecules (QDM) for my Master’s Thesis.

E-Commerce company focusing on parking spaces
Many parking spaces are not marked, which leads to an inefficient use of the available space. There are several possibilities on how to mark a parking space, but none of them is as useful as marking nails. They also work on uneven surfaces and are very visible in the dark, thanks to their reflective lenses. I really like working in a team. For me it’s important that everyone is really committed. In TMS I expect full commitment, from my teammates but especially from myself. I am sure we can learn a lot from each other and we should definitely use this opportunity.
Some hobbies of mine
Sports
I do sport nearly everyday. I play football since i am 4 or something like that. I hit the gym frequntly and go for a jog once in awhile
Reading – a lot
I read a lot, let it be novels, finance, physics, personal development or newspaper. I guess i spent a bit over half an hour a day reading.
Traveling
I really like to dance although i think it looks terrible from the outside, but who cares?
